Covid testing companies listed as part of the Government approved resource, available to members of the general public, have been under the spotlight recently with increased pressure surrounding pricing and service. 

However, following a recent audit carried out by HealthHubble, a staggering 11.7% of those clinics listed on the Government website were found not to offer any such service.

Within the audit, a number of Government approved companies were found not to offer any Covid testing services. Companies checked included GP surgeries, aesthetic clinics, a weight loss clinic, cosmetic surgeons and even included an online health passport software company.

The internal audit carried out by HealthHubble focused on 930 listings which were initially available on the Government website. Of these, 109 were found not to offer any such coronavirus testing services. There were also a number of listed websites that were found to be either non-existent or simply did not work; which raises the question of where information was sourced in order to compile the Government approved list.

HealthHubble has also been independently contacted by one clinic who found themselves inappropriately listed on the Government website as they had never offered such a service.
