What are your first thoughts when you hear the words ‘peace’ or ‘pleasure’? For some, the words may be associated with each other even possibly used interchangeably, but in reality, there is a very distinct difference as observed by Jay Shetty.
Lockdown 3.0 is proving to be a struggle for everyone and undoubtedly the effects felt are unique and very personal. The announcement of the third lockdown earlier this month came as a blow to many; and whilst it may seem like an ask too far it should not be forgotten that this move to threat level five, the ‘highest level of alert’ is in a bid to protect NHS services from becoming overwhelmed.
However, whilst we try to navigate through a myriad of emotions and challenges, it’s important to understand that if you are struggling, you are not alone.
With schools, non-essential shops and services on hold, and limited reasons to leave your home, there are naturally mounting concerns in respect of the nation’s mental health. The pressures of home-schooling, the juggle of working from home and the increased pressure on our essential services is a heavy weight to bear, but equally it is imperative to understand that there are services who remain open and eager to help and listen.
Whatever your circumstances and immediate need; there are charities and other organisations who are on hand to help you in these exceptional times. From adults, children or older persons struggling with mental health to those in crisis and at threat of danger help is available:
HealthHubble are proud to list charitable organisations who can offer support, as well as services providing online support including counsellors and therapists which you can browse.
We also have a wealth of articles written by healthcare professionals specialising within mental health.
The weeks ahead will bring a mix of emotions for us all, but with a collective attitude of support and encouragement, we can get through this; all of us together.
