UK-based health and wellness directory HealthHubble launched its website three months early in response to the coronavirus outbreak, aiming to connect the general public with virtual health services and prescription deliveries – helping people to stay safe at home.

Originally intending to launch, in full, in June 2020 as a medical hub of professional service providers, cutting-edge products and insightful articles, HealthHubble was been given a soft launch several months early to hand the public the chance to seek virtual health and wellness support, should they need it, from the safety of their homes. With social distancing measures currently in place due to the risks posed by COVID-19, and with the NHS at full capacity, HealthHubble provides individuals with the perfect platform to find and communicate with medical experts via telehealth services.

Hundreds of virtual healthcare providers are listed within HealthHubble’s database, including doctors, GPs and counsellors, enabling and empowering users to select an expert suited to their individual requirements.

Prescription delivery providers are also listed, enabling users to arrange prescription pick-up and deliveries direct to their front door.

This is a  potentially vital resource during the coronavirus outbreak, and this prompted us to bring forward the website’s launch.

We launched a stripped-back version live right now that will be extremely useful to people suffering from health complaints whilst staying safe at home. Our service will enable people to choose from a range of providers who can help them with many of their health concerns.

We are all aware that accessing general practice was often challenging pre-COVID, and now many NHS GPs are under even greater pressure with reduced staffing. In the UK we do have the option to see private practitioners which, importantly, reduces the pressure on the NHS. Many mental health practitioners, counsellors, psychologists and some psychiatrists have been utilising video consultations for some time, and have found it to be effective for many clients who can often feel more comfortable having therapy in the comfort of their homes.

We have found that physiotherapists have been early adopters of video consultation platforms and are able to assess new patients as well as continue vital rehabilitation for existing ones. Video consultation, often called ‘telehealth’, is a game changer during these unprecedented times.

A different kind of medical directory

As the website develops over the coming months, HealthHubble will soon become an even more innovative tool where users can search for providers by searching for their symptom or condition. They will then be able to look through a list of providers in their area that may be able to help them with their problem.

All health and wellness businesses are able to register a listing with their basic contact information so that they can be found by users, with other marketing options also available that allow businesses to showcase the range of therapies they offer.

The HealthHubble search engine is unlike any other, in that it connects users with healthcare providers specifically able to provide support for the health issue being searched for. It makes the search process quick and easy for the user, whilst offering healthcare providers with the perfect opportunity to promote their services to the users that need them most. We will continue to grow and expand the website with new features throughout the coronavirus outbreak and beyond, with the intention of establishing HealthHubble as the go-to resource.

Initial results are very promising, Virtual Health Services and Prescription Delivery Services are proving to be in great demand and our first Featured listing has been incredibly busy having received almost 5,000 impressions already!
