Counselling is a type of therapy which involves a professional therapist listening to you and working with you to find ways to deal with a wide range of emotional issues.
Counselling can help with depression, anxiety or eating disorders as well as upsetting physical health conditions.
Working with your therapist will help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and how you process these, which in turn can help facilitate you finding solutions to problems. Counselling can be held face to face, via email, online or over the phone and frequency can range from single sessions to longer courses that may cover months or years.
