What Is it Like to Work with Us?

Each client’s journey through therapy is unique to them, however, the way your counsellor will support you will include:

  1. A 50-minute weekly session where we talk confidentially and work towards your goals.  We can do this safely and securely online.  Online consultations allow you to record some technique demonstrations for your reference later.
  2. The sessions we formulate are centred around Therapeutic Counselling for trauma or Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) coaching.  The strategies we adopt with you will be tailored to meet your specific needs.
  3. Each session will also be delivered using interactive and creative talking therapy methods.
  4. To further support our clients, it may be appropriate with some counselling packages to supply you with further resources which complement your personal therapy.  These may include:

      2. Relevant books
      3. Additional self-care tools and techniques

FAQ:

I’m afraid of opening up Pandora’s Box – How will I cope?

Taking your first steps in therapy can feel daunting, this is a very common feeling and one that is shared by many of our clients.  However, they often find by opening up and talking in a safe and confidential environment, they start to feel a shift of control along with a sense of freedom sharing previously suppressed feelings.

Can I really do this? Are you experienced enough to support me?

100%. Although you bring unique and personal experiences to your sessions, the feelings you may be struggling with are not. We are highly and qualified Counsellors and Psychologists who bring with us over a decade’s worth of experience and have successfully worked with thousands of patients during this time.

Are Online sessions as effective as in-clinic appointments? Will I get the same out of our sessions?

Online sessions provide so many benefits to our clients.  Firstly, the sessions can fit in around your schedule without the need for you to commute or suffer from the related stresses that travel can bring. This flexibility can provide great benefits to you and your routine.  Each session is still planned around your bespoke needs, so from a delivery point of view, there is no difference.  The added benefit of being able to send you a recording of your weekly sessions also allows you time to further reflect with play-backs if you wish.  Our clients often find these a great resource as part of their preparation for their next session.  We use end to end encrypted video software which provides us with a safe and secure online meeting space.
